BETTINA MAHONEY

Bettina Mahoney graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelors Degree in Dance and Psychology from Dean College in Franklin, MA. Mahoney has been dancing for 17 years and has trained in ballet, modern, contemporary, tap, jazz, hip hop, and improvisation. In 2011, Bettina began attending The Gold School in Brockton, MA under the direction of Rennie Gold. Shortly after, in 2013, Mahoney was accepted into the Project Moves Dance Company, a nationally recognized company that creates dance art with anti-bullying messages. Professionally, Bettina has trained with many accomplished choreographers and performers such as Teddy Forance (Shaping Sound Company), Kenny Wormald (Footloose 2011 remake), Chaz Buzan (back up dancer for Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Demi Lovato and more), David and Jacob Guzman (Hamilton & Newsies), and Jay T. Jenkins (Creator of Jazz Funk). Bettina held an intensive in Cambridge, MA using the vehicle of dance to empower young artists between the ages 16-25. In January of 2018, Mahoney led a team of ten individuals during her charity gala raising awareness for mental health. The gala consisted of a guest speaker, dance performances, live/silent auction, and a sit-down dinner of over 100 guests including over 15 donors being Dream Duffel, The Legacy of You, NUVO dance competition, JUMP, and 24/7 dance convention just to name a few. Mahoney is an award-winning choreographer who has a strong passion for using her work to empower people all over the world. Mahoney's work has been performed at Boston Dance Theatre Winter Immersion project, Dean College dance shows, FDP's Produced Winter Wonderland Gala, and Boston Contemporary Dance Festival. Bettina's students have placed and won platinum awards for her direction and choreography at many dance competitions including Turn It Up Dance, Elite Dance Challenge, and many more! Mahoney has been featured in Dance Informa for two consecutive years written by Kathryn Boland for Fortitude Dance Projects Dance Intensive (2018), and Winter Wonderland Gala (2019). Professionally, Bettina has performed at Boston Contemporary Dance Festival, Boston Dance Theatre Winter & Summer Immersion Project, and Gilette Stadium. Bettina is looking forward to moving FDP to New York City in June to expand her team of leaders and dancers as she continues to live out the mission of empowerment.

ALYSSA DAVIS

Alyssa graduated summa cum laude with a degree in dance from Dean College. She has worked for the New York Dance Experience, which partners closely with Lifetime's "Dance Moms", as a director’s assistant. Her choreography has been showcased at the Kennedy Center, Utah Valley University, Dean College, and throughout New England, New Jersey, and New York. Her performance career includes dancing at Symphony Space, the Ailey Citigroup Theater, Gillette Stadium, Dean College, the Boston Contemporary Dance Festival, the Mark Morris Dance Center, the Actor’s Fund Arts Center, and the American College Dance Association's Festival.

ASHLEE RAPOZA

Ashlee Rapoza is 22 years old from Warwick, RI. She recently graduated in December from Dean College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance with a Concentration in Performance and Choreography. At Dean College, she studied under Todd Shanks, Lindsey Klein, Melissa Amershak, William Evans, Jill Silverman, and many more. She has danced with the Boston Community Dance Project under the direction of Boston based Performer and Choreographer Sarah K. Ashlee is on staff with New England Summer Dance Camp in Massachusetts and has traveled all across New England to teach and Choreograph at several dance studios. She has also had the opportunity of performing in the Boston Contemporary Dance Festival and Choreographing for over 15 Dean College dance shows. Also at Dean College, Ashlee directed a performing arts show called “Project Green”, which raised awareness for Mental Health and addiction, as well as advocated for Suicide Prevention. Recently, Ashlee spent two months in Los Angeles, California to train with The Gypsy Project LA, under the direction of ACE award-winning choreographer and teacher, Erica Sobol.

CHRISTOPHER MICHAEL HANSEN

Christopher Michael is a photographer, filmmaker, and general artist from Canton. He recently graduated with a BA in English and Film from University College Dublin in Ireland. Chris has done much documentary film work, as well as his own personal video work. He founded and edits his own arts journal, The Catullan, which has been running since August 2016. Chris loves contemporary dance and performance, though mostly as a spectator, and looks forward to capturing dance through his camera lens.
